Hampden-Sydney College proudly initiates nine new members to its Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, Hampden-Sydney's Eta of Virginia chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society initiated nine new members. Awarded to juniors and seniors with the highest academic achievement, moral character, responsible citizenship, and broad intellectual curiosity, Phi Beta Kappa is among the highest honors a student can receive. Only 10% of U.S. colleges and universities have Phi Beta Kappa chapters, and of these chapters, no more than 10% of arts and sciences graduates are selected to join.

The College is proud of its students for this outstanding accomplishment.
