Heather Krajewski has been appointed vice president for college advancement at Hampden-Sydney College.
Hampden-Sydney College announced today the appointment of Ms. Heather Lee Krajewski as vice president for college advancement. Ms. Krajewski's appointment follows a comprehensive search led by a committee that included Hampden-Sydney faculty, staff, and representatives from the Board of Trustees.
Ms. Krajewski comes to Hampden-Sydney from the University of Richmond, where she served most recently as assistant vice president for advancement. Ms. Krajewski brings more than 20 years of advancement and development experience, with a track record of success both as a fundraiser and a leader. In addition to a total of 13 years in the University of Richmond's advancement division, Ms. Krajewski also served in development roles at the Library of Virginia Foundation and the University of Chicago.

"Her team-building and leadership talents were equally impressive. Heather also showed a remarkable connection with and admiration for Hampden-Sydney's mission to form good men and good citizens. As chief operating officer for the University of Richmond's advancement division, Ms. Krajewski managed the department's day-to-day operations. She played key roles in Richmond's four-year targeted $150 million campaign, which ultimately raised a total of $172 million while drawing more than 9,000 first-time donors. Ms. Krajewski's career includes hands-on and strategic-level experience in every component of development and advancement operations, from annual giving and major gift programs to donor engagement and planned giving.

Ms. Krajewski holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Richmond. Her husband, Robb Moore, serves as assistant vice president for advancement systems at the University of Richmond. Ms. Krajewski succeeds Dr. Herbert L. King '94, who recently became president of Lees-McRae College in North Carolina. Ms. Krajewski will assume her position at Hampden-Sydney in early August.
