The Virginia Masonry
Association annually presents awards based on aesthetics and
functionality to outstanding
recently constructed facilities. Hampden-Sydney College had two
buildings, the new library and the Lewis C. Everett
Stadium, nominated for best in the institutional class. The
College's new library was named top building in the
institutional class. Mr. Norm Kruger, Vice President for
Business Affairs and Treasurer, and Mr. Tom Gregory,
Director of Physical Plant, attended the ceremony in Richmond on
June 5 and accepted the award on behalf of the College. Representatives of
the architectural firm of Marcellus Wright Cox also were in
attendance.
