Dr. Randy Jones , H-SC '98, Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia School of Nursing won a three-year, $350,000 grant from the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation to study strategies to help patients feel more at ease in the final stages of life.

Dr. Jones is one of just 15 nurse educators from around the country to receive the “Nurse Faculty Scholar” award this year.  It is given to junior faculty who show outstanding promise as future leaders in academic nursing.
