The Alcazaba (the military fortress) of the Alhambra. The Alhambra was the last Moorish fortress to fall to the Christians because its elements of natural defense, most importantly its water source. At the top of the hill behind the towers there is a natural spring which the Moorish inhabitance distributed throughout the Alhambra fortress, providing drinking water for animals and inhabitance and irrigation for crops.
