For the fourth consecutive year, dozens of students returned early from their Winter Break to take part in the Professional Development Institute. The daylong event gives students the opportunity to learn from alumni in a variety of fields about what to expect in the workforce.
This year's keynote speaker was Charlie Walker ’93, partner and co-founder of C3 Presents, an international events company know for large-scale festivals such as Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival. Students also heard from a panel of business recruiters before breaking into smaller groups for industry-oriented round-table discussions.
The day ended with a reception and dinner, during which students had the chance to polish their networking skills with the nearly 20 alumni who returned to campus for the event.
