The Tiger Pep Band
The Tiger Pep Band was reorganized in 1998 to primarily enhance spirit and involvement at Hampden-Sydney basketball games. The Pep Band provides a musical and an enthusiastic service to the College community each time it plays at home and away basketball games. This group requires some travel to off-campus events, including tournaments. The Tiger Pep Band's membership is open to any student with an instrumental background. The Tiger Pep Band is one of the only D-III pep bands in the country, and the preeminent pep band in the region. This has led to requests by other academic institutions to aid in the foundation of their own pep band modeled after the successful Hampden-Sydney Tiger Pep Band.
