On March 6th and 7th, 2018, Hampden-Sydney College will be hosting the 2018 VAPPA Conference and is inclusive to all educational state agencies, universities, K-12 & museums throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Conference starts on March 6th with an open house and an evening reception. The following day, March 7th, will be an all-day educational seminar. VAPPA is the Virginia members association which is part of the national APPA institute (Association of Physical Plant Administrators). The VAPPA Conference is an excellent platform for networking and discussions of better practices between business partners and the educational facilities leaders. The Conference will demonstrate state-of-the-art tools and technology to support educational facility professionals, who are tasked with meeting the goals for current and future needs of our students and campus. We are estimating that there will be around 150 attendees at the Conference.
We are currently seeking sponsors to help to cover the costs of hosting such an event. We are offering varying levels of sponsorships:
- Gold Sponsorships at $3,000
- Silver Sponsorships at $2,000
- Bronze Sponsorships at $1,000
- General Sponsorships at $500

There are events that are able to be specifically sponsored such as the Tuesday night reception, Wednesday keynote speaker as well as the breakfast and lunch. Please contact us for further information. Each sponsor will have their corporate logo on the various flyers and presentation materials throughout the Conference. A sponsorship of $1000 or higher comes with two free conference attendee passes. All other corporate attendees will be charged the registration fee. Sponsors will be permitted to hand out material or giveaways.
In conjunction with looking for sponsorships, we are also soliciting individuals and/or organizations that would like to give a presentation during the Conference. This would be a 45 minute presentation on topics that would be pertinent and timely for the audience. These presentations are to be structured as educational sessions that would show organizations how to solve various problems or stay on the cutting edge of technology as well as offer varying solutions to common challenges. These presentations are not advertising opportunities. All presentations will be approved by the host VAPPA team and are limited.
Additionally, we are also seeking sponsors to facilitate the roundtable discussions. The roundtables would consist of two rotations, each twenty five minutes in length, structured as a question/answer sessions on your products and/or concept and how these can be utilized by educational facilities. As with the 45 minute presentations, these will not be advertisements but educational sessions. As with the presentations, the roundtable topics will also be subject to approval by the host VAPPA team.
