Hampden-Sydney College announced today the appointment of Ms. Heather Lee Krajewski as vice president for college advancement. Ms. Krajewski's appointment follows a comprehensive search led by a committee that included Hampden-Sydney faculty, staff, and representatives from the Board of Trustees.
Ms. Krajewski comes to Hampden-Sydney from the University of Richmond, where she served most recently as assistant vice president for advancement. Ms. Krajewski brings more than 20 years of advancement and development experience, with a track record of success both as a fundraiser and a leader. In addition to a total of 13 years in the University of Richmond's advancement division, Ms. Krajewski also served in development roles at the Library of Virginia Foundation and the University of Chicago.

As chief operating officer for the University of Richmond's advancement division, Ms. Krajewski managed the department's day-to-day operations. She played key roles in Richmond's four-year targeted $150 million campaign, which ultimately raised a total of $172 million while drawing more than 9,000 first-time donors. Ms. Krajewski's career includes hands-on and strategic-level experience in every component of development and advancement operations, from annual giving and major gift programs to donor engagement and planned giving.
