Biology Professor Alex Werth used his love of running to raise money for "Run For Our Sons," a charity fighting to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy. 

Werth at DisneyBiology Professor Alex Werth used his love of running to raise money for Run For Our Sons, a charity fighting to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Dr. Werth raised thousands of dollars and considerable awareness for the charity as a competitor in the marathon at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Duchenne is one of the nine types of muscular dystrophy and it affects primarily boys, including Dr. Werth's son Colin.
