Admission requirements

  • Male student
  • Rising 10th, 11th & 12th grader
  • 3.0 grade point average or higher

Cost to attend The Shelton Challenge

The cost to attend the Hampden-Sydney College Shelton Challenge six-day residential program is $650. This includes all curriculum materials, lodging, and food; low and high ropes training; transportation during the week; and evening activities. When submitting your application, please include a $100 deposit (made out to H-SC Shelton Challenge) toward the final payment of $650 to reserve your spot in the program.

If the applicant is not accepted, the $100 deposit will be refunded. If an accepted applicant chooses not to attend the program, a refund will be provided up to one month prior to the start of the program. No refunds will be issued after June 1, 2019.
