An annual highlight for The Wilson Center is the presentation of the Patrick Henry Public Service Awards. This award is given to
H-SC alumni whose lives have been distinguished by their dedication to public service.The 2001 Patrick Henry Public Service
award recipients were Brigadier General Gordon C. Nash '71, the Honorable Amos C. Saunders '55, and Mr. Joe S.
Maupin '54. They were guests of honor at a banquet on May 10 '01, which was also attended by their spouses, Wilson Center staff and
Advisory Board members, H-SC Trustees, and Public Service Certificate Program students.
