  • Friday, 10/10: Annual Public Service Alumni Forum: "Healthcare and the 2008 Election" - Parents & Friends Lounge, 4:00 p.m. Co-sponsored by Career Development.
  • Saturday, 10/11: Homecoming - Wilson Center Cookout and Open House; 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.

November 2008

December 2008

  • January - May: A. Pierre "Tony" Jackson, Esq. will teach the common law course spring semester.

February 2009

  • Wednesday, 7/18: Center for Civic Education workshop on the Constitution for high school teachers, Montpelier (James Madison's plantation home, Orange County) Dr. Marion, co-presenter.

August 2008

  • Dr. Marion on sabbatical, fall semester
  • Wednesday - Friday, 8/20-22: Pre-orientation student workshop, "Political Leadership." Instructors are Dr. John Eastby and Dr. Roger Barrus. Guest presenters include Mr. Rucker Snead, Mr. Ciaran Buckley, Lt. Gen. Samuel V. Wilson (USA ret) and Lt. Gen. William G. (Jerry) Boykin (USA ret). The workshop culminates with a tour of Appomattox Court House on August 22
  • Tuesday, 8/26: Meeting for all Public Service students, 4 PM, Wilson Center
  • August - May: Residency by the First Wilson Center Fellow and former Wheat Chair Lt. General Samuel V. Wilson (USA ret.)
  • August - May: Wheat Chair Lt. Gen. William "Jerry" Boykin (USA ret.) will teach An Overview of US National Intelligence as well as An Advanced Seminar on Leadership and Ethics

September 2008

Harrell (USA ret), Former Delta Force Commander and specialist in operations and logistics, and The Rev. Dr. Ben C. Mathes, founder and President of Rivers of the World. Crawley Forum, 7:30 PM.
