Consider upgrading to a warranty that will last throughout your college career if possible.  Some manufacturers offer accidental damage care, such as Dell's Accidental Damage Service, which  allows for the repair or replacement of systems that suffer accidental damage due to liquid spills, unintentional breakage, drops, falls, or other collisions.

Hampden-Sydney College has Dell certified technicians on staff and can provide warranty repairs on all Dell computers.  Other manufacturers we can provide troubleshooting and recommendations on repairs.
