Hampden-Sydney's Mathematics department offers several majors to meet individual talents and interests including applied mathematics, computer science, and joint majors with economics and the natural sciences. The department has two laboratory classrooms that run Mathematica, MATLAB, Minitab, and Maple software as well as a variety of programming languages.
