Provide variety of cleaning, servicing, and stocking duties in assigned custodial area. Assist in set up for special events and summer camps. Must have ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Must have a valid Virginia driver's license.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with benefits.

Alumni Relations Coordinator
The Alumni Relations Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Office of Alumni Relations; manage events calendar; promote all alumni functions; ensure timely production of invitations and correspondence; supervise the mailing of invitations, receipt of replies and manage event reservations; produce nametags; supervise student assistants. Will also assist in the preparation and analysis of alumni research; maintain and update alumni database; provide sorts and lists from our computer system; disseminate reports to Office of Institutional Advancement and other campus departments. Often serving as the first point of contact with Hampden-Sydney alumni by phone, email, or on campus, the Alumni Relations Coordinator will possess a high level of professionalism.
Qualifications: High school education with 1-3 years previous or relevant experience. High level of proficiency with computers including Microsoft Windows is required. Experience with Photoshop, In Design, HTML, Jenzabar, Infomaker, Publisher or Frontpage a plus. Outstanding customer service and telephone skills required. Exceptional organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple, competing projects and deadlines required.

Under the supervision of the Communications Production Manager, design and produce material for print and electronic media. Promote and protect the College brand. Work with clients. Should be comfortable working in an all-Macintosh environment with Adobe Creative Suite software. Some skill in drawing and photography is desirable but not required.
Qualifications: College or professional school education and training in graphic design required. One to two years experience in graphic design work either in the educational or commercial market, desirable. Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Associate Director of Career Education and Advising
The Associate Director of Career Education and Advising serves as a key conduit of information and education regarding full-time positions, internships, and experiential opportunities in a student services environment. This role proactively engages with students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and friends of Hampden-Sydney College to develop and promote a host of career building opportunities and skills for undergraduate liberal arts students.
The Associate Director will accomplish this through direct career advising with undergraduate students in individual and group settings, conduct outreach programming, manage office technology resources, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for students exploring post-graduation options including Graduate School and Fellowship Programs.
Reports to the Director of the Ferguson Career Center. Must have ability to work regular evening hours approximately two times a week during peak seasons, and occasional weekend special events.
Qualifications: An MBA, MLS, or Master Degree in Higher Education, and at least 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates with alumni relations; career counseling skills; effective oral and written communication skills; and the ability to establish rapport with students, faculty, alumni, employers and staff in a strong liberal arts environment. A background in marketing/communications would be very helpful.

The website and booklet contain information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, fire safety, campus security law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus. They also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by H-SC; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
