Every College staff member, faculty member, and student has the right to work and study in an environment free from discrimination and harassment and should be treated with dignity and respect. The College prohibits discrimination and harassment against applicants for employment or admission, students, faculty, or staff on the basis of the following protected categories: race, color, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression), religion, age, national or ethnic origin, family medical or genetic information, disability, familial, or veteran status, or any other category protected by state or local law, in the operation of its educational programs, community social activities or programs.Harassment and Discrimination Policy

Hampden-Sydney College 2020 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
Hampden-Sydney College is committed to assisting all members of the H-SC community in providing for their own safety and security. If you would like to receive a paper copy of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report which contains this information, you may stop by the Office of Public Safety and Police, Five Forks Road, Hampden-Sydney, VA 23943 or you can request that a copy be mailed to you by calling 434-223-6164.
The website and booklet contain information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, fire safety, campus security law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus. They also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by H-SC; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
This information is required by law and is provided by Hampden-Sydney College Office of Public Safety and Police.
