Finding a job and building a career can be daunting. Handshake is here to help. Whether you're looking for an internship, full-time job or don't know where to begin, you can use Handshake to

How do I access Handshake?
Sign in to Handshakewith your Hampden-Sydney user ID and password. We encourage you to complete your profile in order in order to get the best job recommendations, messages, and events that matter to you.

What do I do if some of my profile information is incorrect?
Much of your information is brought over from the our databases, which comes straight from the Registrar. We recommend connecting with the Registrar's office to be sure your information is correct. For additional questions, please contact career@hsc.edu.
How do I find events and information sessions in Handshake?
Information sessions and career workshops can be found by clicking "Events" from the lefthand menu. Career fairs can be found by clicking "Fairs" from the lefthand menu.
If you need help finding an internship, the Career Center can help you find one - come visit us, schedule an appointment, or explore Handshake!
We also offer internship scholarships for current students who have obtained summer experiential learning opportunities, but may not otherwise be able to participate due to financial constraints.
Hampden-Sydney leverages its connections - formal and informal - with renowned graduate programs in economics and business, engineering, leadership and public affairs, and medicine.
Because liberal education stresses breadth of learning rather than narrow specialization, Hampden-Sydney College students are prepared for a variety of career choices including graduate school or one of the professions requiring training beyond the undergraduate level.
Tiger Tracks are career preparation "roadmaps" for Hampden-Sydney College students providing recommendations for classes, extracurricular activities, resources, and alumni connections that help them achieve their career goals.
