The Brown Student Center is the beautiful hub of campus life at Hampden-Sydney, offering students a centralized location for activities and services. Completed in 2017 and overlooking Lake Chalgrove, Brown is home to the Post Office, the Tiger Inn, a variety of indoor and outdoor communal areas to shoot pool, play games, and relax. It houses the Office of Student Affairs where the Office of the Dean of Students, Office of Culture and Community, the Civic Engagement and Service Program, Student Government Offices, Student Courtroom, Office of Residence Life, and outdoor equipment rentals can be found. The expansive building with comfortable seating spaces can be used by student clubs and organizations for meetings, speakers, and performances.
