The minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation provides interdisciplinary preparation in opportunity recognition, venture development, persuasive communication, and applied problemsolving. Drawing upon courses across the sciences, humanities, and social sciences, the minor equips students to translate ideas into externally-validated value across business, nonprofit, civic, and creative contexts.

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation minor consists of at least nineteen hours of coursework. The minor is interdisciplinary; it is required that students take courses across multiple departments.

Coursework includes a common “core” of 10 credit hours; 6 credit hours of electives that focus on the theory of enterprise; and 3 elective credit hours from courses that explore the practice of innovation. Electives must come from at least two different departments.
