Hampden-Sydney College has been named to The Princeton Review’s list of Best 392 Colleges for 2027 and made the top 10 in seven categories.
Based entirely on surveys of 172,000 students attending the 392 colleges, the publication includes 50 ranked lists covering categories such as academics, amenities, campus services, and extracurriculars, with each list highlighting the top 25 colleges included in the book.
Hampden-Sydney made the top 10 in seven categories, including:
Most Active Student Government #1
Top 20 Best Alumni Networks (Private) #2
Best College Library #5
Students Love Their School Teams #7
Everyone Plays Intramural Sports #8
Lots of Race/Class Interaction #8
Best Science Lab Facilities #9
The College also made the top 25 in eight additional categories, including Friendliest Students (#14), Top 20 Best Schools for Internships (Private Schools) (#16), Most Engaged in Community Service (#19), Best Career Services (#21), Best Student Support and Counseling Services (#22), Best-Run Colleges (#22), Lots of Greek Life (#22), and Most Religious Students (#24).
In addition to being a Best Value College, Hampden-Sydney was also included on the Best Mid-Atlantic Colleges list.
