Phi Beta Kappa Welcomes New Initiates

March 24, 2026

In its 75th anniversary year, Hampden-Sydney’s Eta of Virginia chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society welcomed its newest members on March 17.

Awarded to juniors and seniors with the highest academic achievement, moral character, responsible citizenship, and broad intellectual curiosity, Phi Beta Kappa is among the highest honors a student can receive. Only 10 percent of U.S. colleges and universities have Phi Beta Kappa chapters, and of these institutions, no more than 10 percent of arts and sciences graduates are selected to join.

America's most prestigious academic honor society, Phi Beta Kappa has championed education, fostered freedom of thought, and recognized academic excellence since 1776.

Please congratulate the following 15 inductees on their achievement and attainment of academic excellence while at Hampden-Sydney College.
