Hampden-Sydney College Advances into Top-100 in U.S. News Rankings.

U.S. News & World Report has released the 2022 edition of its annual Best Colleges rankings, and Hampden-Sydney is now ranked 98th among top liberal arts colleges nationally, advancing from a ranking of 102 in the 2021 edition.

In addition to the Best College ranking, Hampden-Sydney is now ranked 74th in the U.S. News Best Value Schools list, which considers both academic quality and cost. The College was previously ranked No. 88 in the Best Value category.

The U.S. News rankings are derived using data from more than 1,100 accredited four-year schools, comparing graduation and retention rates, student selectivity, alumni giving percentage, and faculty resources, as well as peer assessments from other college leaders.

Hampden-Sydney is also included in the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education college rankings for 2022, as well as the new edition of the Princeton Review’s Best 387 Colleges, which ranks the College among the top 200 Best Value Colleges in the United States based upon an analysis of factors including academic rigor, affordability, and career outcomes.

Hampden-Sydney’s renowned alumni network maintains its No. 2 ranking by the Princeton Review, and the College places No. 6 in the Best Schools for Internships category among private institutions across the country.
