The U.S. News rankings are derived using data from 1,500 institutions, comparing graduation and retention rates, student selectivity, alumni giving percentage, and faculty resources, as well as peer assessments from other college leaders.
This news comes just weeks after H-SC appeared in the Princeton Review’s new edition of The Best 388 Colleges, which ranked Hampden-Sydney No. 1 in the “Most Active Student Government” and “Most Politically Active Students” categories. The Bortz Library retains its No. 5 ranking in the “Best College Library” category, and the College also finished in the top 15 for “Best Career Services” and top 25 for “Happiest Students,” among other accolades.
