Whether it is storytelling, data, design, or strategy, each Fellow takes on a hands-on role shaping programs, running events, and fueling the energy that powers the Flemming Center’s mission.

Alex Albright headshotAlex Albright '27

Journalist Flemming Fellow
Alex Albright ’27 is a Government major with a minor in Environmental Studies and in History at Hampden-Sydney College and serves as a Journalist Flemming Fellow at the Flemming Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Alex writes feature stories that highlight the creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit of Hampden-Sydney students and partners.

Outside the classroom, Alex serves as an editor for the College’s newspaper and is an avid Jeopardy enthusiast—activities that reflect of his love for learning, curiosity, and quick thinking.

Community Outreach Flemming Fellow
Dillon Ball ’26 is an Economics and Business major at Hampden-Sydney College and serves as the Community Outreach Flemming Fellow at the Flemming Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. In this role, Dillon coordinates the Rocket Pitch event, collaborates with the SEED Innovation Hub for Spring Demo Day, and develops initiatives that empower K–12 students through accessible programs for young entrepreneurs.

Outside the classroom, Dillon enjoys hunting, fishing, and participating in historical war reenactments—activities that reflect his passion for adventure and tradition.

 

Daniel Coker headshotDaniel I. Coker '28

Hampden-Sydney SEED Innovation Hub Liaison Flemming Fellow
Daniel I. Coker ’28 is an English major with a minor in Music at Hampden-Sydney College and serves as the Hampden-Sydney SEED Innovation Hub Liaison Flemming Fellow for the Flemming Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Daniel helps with 3D rendering models, 3D printing, and laser cutting.

Outside the classroom, Daniel is involved in the Maker’s Collective (vice president), astronomy club (Secretary), and member of The Acousticals.

Media Marketing Manager Flemming Fellow
Scott Gipson ’26 is an Economics and Business major with a minor in Music at Hampden-Sydney College and serves as the Media Marketing Manager Flemming Fellow in the Flemming Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Scott leads the Center’s marketing and media initiatives, managing content creation, promotions, and digital storytelling to highlight student innovation and events.

Outside the classroom, Scott is actively involved in student clubs and associations and serves as a residential advisor. He is also an entrepreneur, running his own record label and freelance media management business, where he combines creativity and strategy to help brands and artists grow their reach.

Journalist Flemming Fellow
Joshua Little ’27 is an English major at Hampden-Sydney College with minors in Rhetoric and Music. He serves as a Journalist Flemming Fellow at the Flemming Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, where he captures and shares the stories of student innovation, creativity, and impact across the Hill and the community. Joshua is one of the inaugural journalists for the Flemming Focus newsletter.

Outside the classroom, Joshua is actively involved in student life, serving as a student leader for summer and fall orientation, a resident advisor, and the student sports information assistant for Hampden-Sydney College athletics. He also participates in various student clubs and associations—organizations that reflect his passion for communication, leadership, and community building.

 

Mac Montgomery headshotMac Montgomery '27

Strategic Venture Analyst Flemming Fellow
Mac Montgomery ’27 is an Economics and Business major with a minor in Neuroscience at Hampden-Sydney College and serves as the Strategic Venture Analyst Flemming Fellow in the Flemming Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Mac supports student entrepreneurs by researching funding opportunities, assisting with grant writing, and helping connect innovative ideas with the resources needed to bring them to life. Mac is the student coordinator for the Hult Prize pitch competition.

Outside the classroom, Mac serves as an analyst for the TigerFund, a student leader with the Man-to-Man mentor program, and a residential advisor—roles that reflect his passion for leadership, financial insight, and personal growth.

Graphic Artist Flemming Fellow
Sage Norrell ’28 is a Psychology major at Hampden-Sydney College and serves as the Graphic Artist Flemming Fellow at the Flemming Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Sage brings creative concepts to life through visual storytelling, branding, and digital design that support the Center’s programs, events, and student ventures.

Outside the classroom, Sage enjoys watching sports, anime, and listening to music—interests that inspire his creativity and design perspective.
