Government & Foreign Affairs

Hampden-Sydney's Government and Foreign Affairs department is one of only "two or three others like it in the United States," according to the  National Review guide to the top 50 liberal arts colleges in the country. Labeled "politically astute" by  The Princeton Review, students study contemporary political problems grounded in the history of political thought. A major is an excellent foundation for legal study or positions in local, state, or federal government.
